OUR NAME, OUR VALUES
The name Blackfin is an origin story, of sorts, for three executives that came together in Vancouver, where the mysterious but revered black fin of the orca is a unique symbol of the city, its hockey team and the rugged west coast. The orca also represents our corporate values. Orcas are strong and powerful and yet graceful, curious, amiable and family-oriented. All of these are traits that we, at Blackfin, strive to emulate in our lives and in our work. Our team believes in building relationships based on trust that provide outstanding value for everyone involved.
